35 students from UM Engineering Camp/Trayvon Martin Foundation educated about plastic pollution

& taught how to upcycle their old t-shirts into reusable bags!

Thank you to all of the campers from UM Engineering’s STEM Summer Camp, who were enthusiastic learners during our Chef Andrew Scholar Alyssa’s presentation about plastic pollution! After our presentation, the students learned how to turn their old t-shirts into reusable bags. Not only does this prevent textile waste from entering our landfills, this also provides the students with reusable bags use in lieu of disposable plastic and paper bags!
