Hello everybody! We hope you are as excited about International Coastal Cleanup as we are here at Debris Free Oceans!! ICC is the world’s largest, one-day volunteer effort to clean our oceans and waterways!
**If you would prefer to go out on the water this ICC, be sure to check out our Shake-A-Leg Island + Mangrove Cleanup Cleanup!**
This year, with the help of our partner Grove BID, we will be hosting a Peacock Park Cleanup where we will be distributing gift cards to spend at businesses in the Grove who are actively working to eliminate plastics!
We will meet at Peacock Park at 4pm for check in, and then begin distributing gear for the cleanup. There is a parking garage across the street (Peacock Garage) with ample parking.
We will provide buckets, trash grabbers, gloves, a cooler of water for refills, sunscreen, bug spray, and gifted reusable tote bags for all volunteers! Please bring exposure protection (hat, sunglasses, sun protection shirt) and a reusable water bottle!
Download the Ocean Conservancy’s CleanSwell app to participate in the Citizen Science activity. This way you can log, tally and measure the impact of your cleanup while contributing to a global database of marine debris that is used to inform prevention policies!
Register now to reserve your space and help keep our community clean.
This year’s shirts are available for purchase here!
