Halloween is also one of the most wasteful holidays of the year. In the U.S., 35 million costumes are thrown away annually, most made of non-recyclable plastics that can last over 500 years.
Join Debris Free Oceans and Earth Breeze at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park for a Halloween celebration that’s good for the planet. Together, we’ll clean up the beach and host a costume swap to give gently-used costumes new life, just in time for spooky season.

Event Details:
📅 Saturday, September 13, 2025⏰ 3:00 – 6:30 PM (check-in opens at 3pm)📍 Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (4020 Virginia Beach Dr, Miami, FL, 33149)🐙 We’ll be set up at the Chickee Village (#13 on the Park Map). When you arrive at the Virginia Beach Drive entrance, let the attendant know you’re here for the cleanup. Parking is free for participants, and staff can direct you to our location. Look for the Debris Free Oceans and Earth Breeze tents and flags!
