Join us Earth Day Weekend for an unforgettable arts adventure on the sands of Crandon Beach Park with National Water Dance. A catalyst that encourages ongoing engagement between artists and the environment, National Water Dance is a biannual event across the United States that brings attention to our waterways by recruiting dancers, musicians and visual artists to unite for action in a simultaneous performance around bodies of water.
Now in its 6th edition, with the theme of “Moving Forward Together”, the headlining event in Key Biscayne will feature some of Miami’s most beloved dance companies including NWD Projects, Dance Now! Miami, Olujimi Dance Collective, Karen Peterson & Dancers, Jubilation Dance Ensemble, Thryn Saxon and more! Enjoy special performances by Inez Barlatier, NWS Fellow Jiyoung Lee and the Miami Sound Choir.
Beyond the extraordinary dance and music, participate in eco-activities with the entire family in celebration of Earth Day! Join naturalists on the trails surrounding Biscayne Nature Center for a look at the native flora, check out Dream In Green’s student eco-summit and cap off the afternoon with a sunset Happy Hour in the beautiful coral courtyard.
Debris Free Oceans is lucky to be partnering with NWD Projects and Live Arts Miami to bring a beach cleanup to this amazing event! 🐙 The cleanup will take place from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Thank you to Earth Breeze for sponsoring the cleanup! 🌎 Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt and eco-friendly detergent sheets 👕 🧺 🩵
