We are so excited to be returning to Historic Virginia Key Beach Park for another sunset Keg n’ Klean, this time in celebration of Earth Day! Join us for this zero-waste party on the beach where we leave it better than we found it ❤.
Head to the park after work to clean the beach with us and enjoy complimentary craft beer from Wynwood Brewing Co. and kombucha from Radiate Kombucha if you bring your own reusable cup*!
You can also opt for a $10 ticket add-on to receive a stainless steel reusable DFO x WBC co-branded cup, or a $20 add-on to receive a DFO double-walled stainless steel tumbler with a lid (pictures below)! These cups will also be available in exchange for donations at the event.
Debris Free Oceans will provide all cleanup gear- just bring yourself, your cup + your Earth & beer lovin’ friends!
Find us at the Debris Free Oceans pop-up tent by the white Dance Pavilion and Park Office; at the park entry kiosk, mention that you are there for the cleanup and parking will be free.
*No solo or disposable plastic cups please; must be 21+ to receive beer.
This event is free to attend but we encourage you to consider selecting a donation-based ticket to support future Debris Free Oceans programming!
Debris Free Oceans is a Miami-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring local communities to responsibly manage the lifecycle of plastics and waste as part of a global initiative to eradicate marine debris. Since our inception in 2015, Debris Free Oceans has removed over 46,000 lbs of marine debris, and has also educated nearly 11,000 students about the sources, impacts, and solutions to plastic pollution. We have hosted more than 200 zero-waste events designed to promote positive behavior change engaging more than 14,000 people. We also provide comprehensive sustainability consulting services to local businesses, and the group has eliminated 1.2 million+ single-use plastics from the waste stream by working with leading establishments and local governments, including the City of Miami Beach, The Rusty Pelican, The Wynwood Yard, Whiskey Joes, Under the Mango Tree, and Treehouse Miami.
